Their Pledge to Customers

To continue making safe, reusable products free of harmful materials such as lead. The Fiesta Tableware Company removed lead from select pieces as early as 1986, and achieved complete lead‑free production by 1992 — a commitment to customer safety that continues today. All modern Fiesta dinnerware is lead‑safe and made from fully vitrified ceramic that is durable, chip‑resistant, and non‑porous.

Their Pledge to Natural Resources

To remain vigilant in innovation that reduces the carbon footprint. By rerouting waste kiln heat to other processes, the company saves enough natural gas annually to heat nearly 1,000 homes for an entire winter. A clay reclamation system blends back 2 tons of waste clay per day into new production. And 99% of all Fiesta products are made in the USA, reducing overseas shipments and supporting local craftsmanship.

Their Pledge to the Environment

To reduce resource consumption, recycle, and eliminate waste. In 2007, packaging improvements cut cardboard use by 17 tons per year. All waste cardboard is recycled, and any new cardboard contains at least 39% recycled content. Upgraded wastewater treatment in 2006 reclaimed 1.2 million pounds of clear glaze that would otherwise have been discarded. In 2007 alone, over 200,000 pounds of steel, cardboard, and glass were recycled. A paperless order confirmation system saves more than half a million sheets of paper annually.
